An event to donate medical equipment and facial masks to Khaunlanphu township Covid-19 prevention, containment and treatment committee happened at women’s vocational training school in the town of Puta-O, Kachin state this morning.

At the event, U Kyaw Maw Gun, person in charge of Health Poverty Action Myanmar handed over medical equipment to Khaunglanphu township administrator U Aung Ko Win and Dr. Gon Sai Li, secretary of the township Covid-19 prevention, containment and treatment committee.   The medical equipment included 3000 pieces of glove, 1200 pieces of mask, two infrared thermometers, two disinfectant sprayers, three hand-held loudspeakers and 280 sheets of poster about Covid-19.

The medical equipment will bring considerable health benefit to local people, said Dr. Gon Sai Li, expressing his appreciation of the donation by Health Poverty Action Myanmar.

Health Poverty Action Myanmar is a charity organization which has been working in the special regions of Kachin and Shan States of Myanmar since 1994 in order to strengthen the local health systems and to provide essential health services to people living in conflict-affected areas.—Nyein Ei Ei Phyo (IPRD)
