MYANMAR National League club Hanthawady United is preparing to host home matches again in Bago Region for the 2026-2027 season.
The club plans to use Grand Royal Stadium in Bago as its home ground after previously hosting matches there until the 2020 season. The MNL chairman and officials inspected the stadium on 4 May and discussed upgrading facilities before the new season, including improving infrastructure, pitch quality, spectator convenience and television broadcasting arrangements.
Several MNL clubs are expected to resume hosting home matches next season, with Hanthawady United and Yadanabon joining Shan United and Yangon United. As a result, four clubs are expected to host regular home matches during the upcoming season. — Shine Htet Zaw/KZL
