Great values of Bagan shines at Anawrahta Art Gallery

An art exhibition, entitled “Spiritual Heritage Great Bagan,” opened yesterday at the Anawrahta Art Gallery in Thuwunna, Thingangyun Township.

The exhibition was held in celebration of listing Myanmar’s ancient city of Bagan in the UNESCO heritage listing.

At the gallery, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko delivered an opening address.

The exhibition was formally opened by U Tin Oo, Patron of the National League for Democracy, Union Minister Thura U Aung Ko, Yangon Region Minister for Rakhine Ethnic Affairs U Zaw Aye Maung and Myanmar’s prominent impressionist and veteran artist Dr U Lun Gywe.

Art works by 70 artists are exhibited free of charge for public viewing from 11 to 18 January.
