Go Digital ASEAN Project virtual launch event to be held today

15 Sep

THE virtual launch of Go Digital ASEAN Project will take place today (15 September) between 1:30 and 3:30 pm for users with a Zoom account, and this webinar will explain the details regarding the training courses, the SME Development Department under the Ministry of Planning, Finance and Industry recently announced.

The Asia Foundation, with a US$3.3 million grant from Google.org, Google’s philanthropic arm, will implement this project, focusing on closing the digital gap across ASEAN.

In Myanmar, the project will train up to 6,000 MSME owners and 2,000 underemployed youths from Yangon Region, Mandalay Region, and Kayin State. Through the training, SME owners and micro-entrepreneurs will get access to digital skills and tools to help their small-scale businesses expand markets and stimulate unemployed youth to find and apply for jobs.

All training courses are free of charge and to be carried out online, for now, to maintain social distancing amid the coronavirus resurgence. Face to face training is also planned to conduct later. Those who are enthusiastic in this webinar can register through http://bit.ly/GoDigitalMM.
