The fresher’s welcome ceremony of East Yangon University was held at the Convocation Hall of the University in Thanlyin, Yangon Region on 18 May.
First of all, Minister Yangon Region Natural Resources U Zaw Win delivered an opening speech and gave words of encouragement to the students. Then, the region minister handed over Ks. 500000 provided by Yangon Region Government to the University. The donation was accepted by Rector of East Yangon University Dr. Nay Win Oo.
Afterwards, Dr.Nay Win Oo gave welcoming speech and respective professors, associate professors, lecturers, tutors and demonstrators who will teach the first year students welcomed the students and introduced academic knowledge for the respective specializations. Then, the region minister and guests of honor cordially greeted the fresher.—District IPRD
