The Tunisian Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday that the bodies of two soldiers aboard a military helicopter that crashed in Bizerte Province have been found.

"Two bodies and parts of the wreckage of the military helicopter have so far been recovered," the ministry said in a statement.

"The search is still going on to find the bodies of the remaining soldiers," it added.

Earlier in the day, the ministry announced that it had lost contact with a military helicopter with four soldiers on board.

"All contacts had been lost since Wednesday evening when the helicopter was carrying out a night flight mission in the region of Cap Sirat in Bizerte Province in northern Tunisia," the ministry said in a statement.
