Foodstuffs unfit for human consumption burnt in Yinmabin Tsp

Foodstuffs which are unfit for human consumption, seized from the markets, were burnt in the compound of the District Consumer Affairs Department in the town of Yinmabin, Yinmabin district, Sagaing region this morning.

At the event, Daw Moe Moe, head of the District CAD dealt with the seizure of expired foodstuffs, foodstuffs unfit for human consumption and illegal drugs banned by FDA. Then, staff from the district CAD, heads of departments at township and district level set fire to expired foodstuffs and foodstuffs unfit for human consumption worth K 119,700.

The CAD has been conducting regular checks on foodstuffs and medicines in collaboration with relevant departments and teams in the markets in the district.—Than Htay Aung (Kani)
