Fire breaks out at police outpost due to short circuit in Yegyi Twsp.

A fire broke out in unoccupied room at police outpost in Gonepyin Village tract in Yegyi Township on 15 December at about 7:00 pm due to a short circuit, causing a loss of Ks. 938000. 

 

The fire was thought to have started from electric short circuit in unoccupied room at police outpost and spread to nearby two houses and totally destroyed.

 

Firefighters rushed to the incident scene to put out the fire in collaboration with police members and villagers using four fire engines. The fire was brought under control at about 8:00pm and totally extinguished at 8:30 pm.

 

No casualties were reported in the fire. Police members led by the Township Police Chief Major Aung Ko Ko looked round the incident and provided necessary assistance the Police Outpost.—San Tint(Yegyi)
