Fire breaks out in Kalaw Twsp.

Fire broke out in a house in Ward-2 in the town of Kalaw, Shan State(South)at about 3:40 pm on 24 February. 

 

According to an investigation, the fire was thought to have started from an ember left in the house of Daw Thein Khin, and completely destroyed the house, inflicting the estimated loss of Ks. 650000. But no casualties were reported.

 

Firemen led by U Thant Zaw, commander of the Township Fire Services Department rushed to the scene to fight the fire in collaboration with local people using two fire engines and, the blaze was brought under control at about 3:50 pm and successfully extinguished at about 3:55 pm.—(Township IPRD)
