FIFA Ranking: Myanmar team stands sixth in ASEAN after Asian Cup Qualifiers

THE Myanmar men’s national football team is currently standing sixth in the ASEAN region and ranked 158th in the world with 1,012 points, according to the FIFA rankings released after the third round of Asian Cup Qualifiers.

 

Team Viet Nam is still standing first in ASEAN with a world ranking of 97th and 1,219 points earned.

 

Meanwhile, Thailand’s national football team is placed second in ASEAN with a FIFA ranking of 111 and 1,173 points.

 

The Philippines squad is third with a world ranking of 133th and 1,114 points.

 

Next, Malaysia’s national team is fourth in ASEAN and the team is standing 147th in the world ranking with 1,057 points earned and the Indonesia team is the fifth in ASEAN with 155th the world rank.

 

In the meantime, Singapore is following Myanmar with a FIFA world ranking of 159th and 1,001 points.

 

Next, Cambodia and Laos are in eighth and ninth place in ASEAN with FIFA ranking 174th and 183rd.

 

Brunei team is next in the tenth place with a FIFA world ranking of 119th and Timor Leste is in the eleventh place with a FIFA ranking of 198th.

 

Myanmar had the highest records in FIFA ranking 97th in April 1996 and lowest as 182nd in August 2012, according to FIFA. — GNLM
