Under the guidance of the Township Administration Committee, essential food items such as rice, cooking oil, eggs, and chicken were sold at fair prices this morning in front of the Myanmar Economic Bank on 13th Street in Ward-5.
At the event, township health and traditional medicine staff provided basic medical services, including blood pressure checks, diabetes testing, oxygen level measurement, and treatment for common illnesses, mainly benefiting pensioners.
Officials from the Consumer Affairs Department also sold basic food items at reduced prices to retired civil servants. Members of the Township Administration Committee, along with representatives from the Maternal and Child Welfare Association and the Women’s Affairs Federation, attended the event and supported healthcare services and meal donations for pensioners.— Ye Ko Maung (IPRD)
