An essay competition for students from high and middle schools took place at the Community Centre of the Information and Public Relations Department in Kaleinaung Town, Taninthayi Region yesterday morning.
First, an official from the IPRD explained the disciplines to be followed by the participants, saying the event is held with the intention of sharing knowledge about the Independence Day. A total of 21 students took part in the essay contest in which the high school level essay was entitled, “Taste of Independence” while the middle school level was headlined, “Unforgotten Independence Day.”
The essay event is aimed to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of Independence Day which falls on 4 January.—Daw Moe Moe Khaing (IPRD)
