A ceremony to open a new environmental conservation office was held in Mangkhin Ward in Myitkyina, Kachin State this morning.
First, Minister for Ministry of Kachin State Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Dashi La Sai, Director of Kachin State environmental conservation department U Kyaw Aung Moe and the district Adminstraton U Khaung Lan Di cut a ceremonial ribbon to formally open the new office.
At the event, Minister for Ministry of Kachin State Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Dashi La Sai delivered an opening speech and Director of the state Environmental Conservation Department U Kyaw Aung Moe explained the construction works of the office. Then, officials looked round the new office.
Over 50 people including the state Hluttaw Speker U Tun Tin, Minister of Shan Ethnic Affairs Sai Sin Lin, departmental officials attended the event. The three-story new office measuring 59 ft. in length and 59 ft. in width was built by United Seven Star Construction Company.—Mow Kya (Myitkyina)
