A combined team consisting of members of Anti-Drugs Squad stopped and searched a vehicle driven by Cho Lay with Ma Kyawk Sabay Win on board on Letwethundra Road in Mingon Ward in the town of Bhamo, Kachin State at about 9:15 am on January 1 and seized 0.7 Kilos of heroin in the vehicle.
Similarly, a combined team consisting of members of Anti-Drugs Squad searched a motorbike driven by Aung Kyaw Thet at 11:00 am on the same day and confiscated 10000 stimulant tablets. On the same day, a combined team raided the home of Saw Nyi in Hona(Akha) Village in Tachilek Township of Shan State at 12:00 pm and 8200 stimulant tablets in the house.
In a similar incident, a combined team comprising of members of Anti-Drugs Squad stopped and searched a MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER car driven by Hla Aung with Yan Myo Aung on board near Kyaukchaw Village in Patheingyi Township of Mandalay Region and seized 6000 stimulant tablets, 1.3 kilos of Happy Water and 0.2 kilo of Ketamine in the car.
The offenders have been prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—MNA
