Some villages in Saw Township, Gangaw District, Magway Region suffered from scarcity of drinking water due to extreme hot weather.
As part of efforts to help the difficulties of rural people in the township, volunteers from Yadana Philanthropic Group in the town of Saw donated drinking water to the affected people in Kaukkyit and Kyinchaung Villages in the township yesterday.
Under this donation program, 26 families including a monastery in Kaukkyit Village and 34 families in Kyinchaung Village in the township received 1020 liters of drinking water and 1400 liters of drinking water respectively.—
