A ceremony to conclude a basic sewing course was held at the monastery in Nyaungdan Village, Paungde Township in Bago Region this morning.
During the ceremony, an official from the township DRD clarified the purpose of the training course and called on the trainees to practically apply the lessons learned in the course to generate more incomes in their family.
Then, a trainee spoke words of thanks on behalf of the trainees to officials. This was followed by the presentation of awards to outstanding trainees. Altogether 20 people including the township Administrator and staff from the township General Administrator Department and departmental officials attended the event.
With a view to improving job opportunity for rural women and their socio-economic status, the DRD organized a basic sewing course in the township.—Nyein Thu
