DEPUTY Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar U Than Swe received the Russian State Duma delegation led by Mr Sholban Kara-Ool, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, yesterday at the Union Minister’s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.
Both sides cordially exchanged views on further consolidating existing friendship ties between Myanmar and Russia, expanding bilateral cooperation in various areas, including economic, cultural and tourism sectors, and enhancing cooperation through regional and international organizations. — MNA
