Daw Thet Thet Zin announces Myanmar U-19 women’s final squad

Myanmar Head Coach Daw Thet Thet Win finalized her 23-woman squad for the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship 2019 to be hosted in Thailand today.

The AFC U-19 Women’s Championship 2019 will take place in Chonburi, Thailand from 27 October to 9 November with eight teams participating in a round robin format. Myanmar team is pooled in Group (B) together with Japan, South Korea and China while Group A consists of host Thailand, Vietnam, North Korea and Australia. Myanmar will play against Japan at 3:30 p.m. local standard time (LST) on 28 October, clash with China at the same time on 31 October and compete with Korea Republic at the same time on 3 November. 


The top three teams will directly qualify for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to be held in Nigeria. As part of preparations for the event, Myanmar team played warm-up matches against Singapore, Vietnam and some local clubs. The 23 players who will make up the Myanmar squad for the qualifiers are as follows:
