With the aim of distributing purified drinking water in all seasons, Ngape Township Department of Rural Development is undertaking the construction of a reservoir in Thayagone village, Ngape Township, Magway Region. Now, the project has been completed, according to the department.
A reservoir capable of storing 5000 gallons of water was constructed with K 3.679 million allocated by the government during this fiscal year and K 0.821 million contributed by public. Upon completion, a total of 995 people from 270 households will receive drinking water in all seasons, according to a Township Officer from the Township Department of Rural Development.
“The Township Department is undertaking water supply projects and related projects in seven villages in the Township with K 128.25 million by tender winning companies with supervision of engineers from the Department,” he added.
