Construction of concrete road in Hpa-an Township completed 20%

Officials from Hpa-an Township Department of Rural Development looked into the progress of the concrete paving work of road in Bayakyaing Village in Hpa-an Township of Kayin State this morning.

 

During the inspection tour, officials lead by U Win Zaw, staff officer of the District DRD met with members of village development committee and stressed the importance of quality construction and maintenance, and instructed to meet the construction deadlines.

 

The concrete road which is five furlongs in length, 12 ft. in width and six inches in thickness has been constructed since May 19 this year by a tender winning company with Ks. 74.25 million of DRD’s funds in 2023-2024 fiscal year and now, all the projects have been completed by 20 percent. 

 

Upon completion, the road will bring socio-economic development to 662 people from 111 households in the village, according to an official from the Township Department of Rural Development.—Ahtwaw(DRD)
