A ceremony to inaugurate a newly constructed concrete road was held today in Ward-9, Myaungmya Township, Ayeyawady Region, in celebration of the 78th Anniversary of Union Day.

During the ceremony, U Aung Ko Ko, Chairman of the Township Administration Body, delivered the opening speech, while U Kyaw Oo expressed words of thanks to the officials present. Following this, Police Lt-Col Thaung Htike, Secretary of the Myaungmya Township Administration Body, along with U Aung Ko Ko, Chairman of the Township Administration Body, Major Ohn Thein, Member-1 of the Myaungmya District Administration Body, and other officials, cut the ceremonial ribbon to officially open the road.

The new concrete road, which measures 365 feet in length, 10 feet in width, and 6 inches in thickness, was constructed at a cost of K 123.2 million. Of this amount, K 81.6 million was allocated by the Township Development Committee, while K 37.1 million was contributed by local residents.—Zay Ya (Myaungmya)
