Launglon, 15 January
China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (Myanmar Office) donated school bags and stationery to schoolchildren at a post-primary school in the village of Pyin Htein, Launglon township, Dawei district in Myanmar’s southermost region of Taninthayi this morning.
At the event, Daw Kyu Shein, the headmistress of the school made an opening speech. Then, U Daniel, officer in charge of CFPA (Myanmar Office) reported on the aim of the donation and presented school bags and stationery to the schoolchildren.
Afterwards, U Chit San Maung, acting on behalf of the parents of schoolchildren, spoke words of gratitude. The donation aims to serve the needs of schoolchildren, to strengthen and maintain friendships between Myanmar and China.
The foundation provided schoolbags and stationaries for a total of 10138 schoolchildren in 92 primary schools in Launglon township.—Thein Than (IPRD)
