A ceremony to provide cash aids to storm victims in Mawlaik Township in Sagaing Region was held at a meeting hall of Township General Administration Department this morning.
At the ceremony, Township Administrator U Thet Myint Oo clarified the purpose of providing cash aids. Then, the officials handed over cash aids to six households suffering the risk of strong winds.
The strong winds hit Mawlaik Township in the evening of 21 April and six houses in four villages were destroyed. Therefore, a total of K 332,700 was provided to storm victims and the local residents need to inform the damages caused by natural disaster to the responsible department via respective administrators in order to provide cash aids and relief items to the victims in time.
