Cash aids provided to farmers for damaged crops in Yenangyaung Township

Officials from the Department of Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation provided cash aids to farmers for damaged crops during 2019-2020 FY in Thonesechauk, Shwetokekan and Oatshitgone village-tracts in Yenangyaung Township, Magway Region on 8 June.

Chairman of Township Administration Council and Township Farmland Management Team provided K 120,000 to 10 farmes for 24 acres of damaged crops in Thonesechauk village-tract, K 3,605,000 to 345 farmers for 721 acres of damaged crops in Shwetokekan villaget-tract and K 700,000 to 57 farmers for 138.50 acres of damaged crops in Oatshitgone village-tract.

A total of 10873 farmers from 23 village-tracts in Yenangyaung Township were provided with crop compensation for 24322.50 acres of damaged crops and other remaining farmers will be provided with cash aids for damaged crops, according to Township General Administration Department.
