Bago, January 6
The 4th Bago Region Chief Minister Cup golf tournament was held at Hanthawady golf course in the town of Bago, Bago region in the morning of 5 January. Bago Region Chief Minister U Win Thein gave words of greeting and encouragement to the competing golf teams.
The sporting event was attended by members of the region government and departmental personnel. Then, the region Chief Minister opened the competition by striking golf balls. A total of 88 golfers participated in the three categories of the competition.
At awards ceremony at 6:00 pm the same day, Secretary U Khin Maung San of Bago Region Government, Director U Aung Hein Kyaw, Deputy Director U Aung Swe, Bago District Administrator U Ye Htut and officials presented prizes to the prize-wining golfers.
Then, the region Chief Minister U Win Thein gave awards to the winner, U Chit Yin Htoo, first runner-up, U Hla Kyaing and second runner-up U Kyaw Swa.—Tin Soe (Bago)
