The Amyotha Hluttaw convened its second day meeting of 16th regular session yesterday.
MP U Kyaw Than from Kayah State constituency 8 asked for completion of warehouse (including office)at the Disaster Management Department in Bawlakhe district with the additional budget for 2019-2020 financial year. Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement U Soe Aung replied that the construction project could be finalized in this financial year if the budget is approved by the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw.
MP U Bwe Khane from Chin State constituency 3 asked about construction of a two-storey RC building for police members in Hnaring Town of Thantlang Township of Chin State. Deputy Minister for Home Affairs Maj-Gen Soe Tint Naing replied that budget will be shared for this project and more buildings will be constructed at that police station. MP U Hla Oo from Sagaing Region constituency 4 asked about removal of a prison from the business hub of Monywa Township the Tharzi village.
Maj-Gen Soe Tint Naing also answered this correction facility will be used as a jail although a new prison has been built at the designated area.
MP U Zaw Hein from Taninthayi constituency 7 asked arrests of linking criminals and their movable and immovable property, and called for effective legal actions against those who neglected to file lawsuit against the linking criminals. Maj-Gen Soe Tint Naing replied legal actions against both of these persons.
MP Dr Kyaw Ngwe from Magway Region constituency 10 asked for upgrade of wooden bridge into a concrete bridge by the Union fund on road section between Pakhangyi and Pakhanngal of Yesagyo Township in his constituency. Deputy Minister for construction Dr Kyaw Lin replied the upgrade of bridge will be done on the basis of receiving budget in 2020-2021 FY. MP U Kyaw Kyaw Win from Rakhine State constituency 8 asked about upgrade of wooden bridge of a concrete bridge in Thayagong village of Maungtaw Township. The Deputy Minister also replied the project will be implemented on the basis of receiving budget in the upcoming fiscal year.
MP Daw Htu May from Rakhine State constituency 11 asked about upgrade of a road section on Kyaukchaung-Kyauknimaw in Yanbye Township, and possible legal action against the company which has been contracted for the upgrade. MP U San Myint from Ayeyawady constituency 3 raised queries about construction of a concrete RC bridge that links the two villages of Yekyi Township and Kyonpyaw Townships. Deputy Minister Dr Kyaw Lin replied to these questions. Amyotha Hluttaw Bill Committee member Daw Nwe Nwe Aung read out the report of her committee to discuss the Law Protecting Privacy and Security of Citizen amended by the Pyithu Hluttaw to be able to discuss at the Amyotha Hluttaw.
