At least four militants were confirmed dead and nine others injured as fighting aircraft targeted a Taliban hideout in Chushti Sharif district of the western Herat province on Tuesday, provincial police chief Aminullah Omarkhil said Wednesday.
The airstrikes, according to the official, were launched Tuesday afternoon and killed four insurgents and injured nine others. Four more militants have gone missing in the battle.
Taliban militants haven't made a comment yet.
