MYANMA Lethwei “Air KBZ Fight 6” was held at Thein Phyu Lethwei Stadium in Yangon yesterday, where Myanmar Lethwei star Too Too defeated Japanese fighter Tokeshi in the fourth round in the 76 kilo bout of the lethwei event.
As the bout was the main event, both fighters attacked aggressively from the start.
Too Too relied on strong punches in the first round, but Tokeshi blocked the punches to finish the first and second rounds.
The fight was more intense in the third round, with simultaneous punches by both fighters.
In the fourth round Too Too made a strong kick over Tokeshi and Tokeshi requested a break.
After the break in the fourth round, Too Too scored a surprise headbutt to Tokeshi, as Tokeshi fell and did not recover.
In another event, Myanmar’s Soe Lin Oo defeated Yar Mhan in a 71 kilo fight, winning in the fifth round with continuous punches.
In the 57 kilo bout, Myanmar’s Saw Shwe Lay fought against Thailand’s Chaggaphan, and the match ended with a victory for Saw Shwe Lay with a fourth round knock-out.
In the 61 kilo bout, Ye Thway Ni fought to a draw with Out Chin Lay. In the 63 kilo bout, Myanmar’s Saw Dar Wait fought to a draw against Naing Win Tun.
In the 78 kilo event , Saw Nico defeated Hmawbi Zar Mani (Thaing Byaung Byan) in the second round.In the co-main event (women’s lethwei fight) , Myanmar’s women lethwei fighter Vo Ro Ni Ka fought to a draw against Italian Miriam.
