MYANMAR’S COVID-19 positive cases sharply rised to 580 after 76 new cases were reported on 26 August according to Ministry of Health and Sports. Case-580 returned from USA. 27 cases had no contact with positive cases and no overseas travel history. Others had contact with positive cases. Out of the 76 cases, 74 are from Rakhine State, Case-506 from Yangon Region and Case-580 from Sagaing Region. Among these 580 confirmed cases, six died, 345 have recovered, 339 have been discharged from hospitals and 47 were held under investigation.
