STATE Security and Peace Commission Member General Maung Maung Aye attended the message reading section for the 52nd Anniversary of Mon State Day and the state honorary titles offering ceremony in Mawlamyine yesterday.
During the message reading section for the 52nd Mon State Day held at the Thamainbayan Ground, State Security and Peace Commission Member General Maung Maung Aye, Commission Member Lt-Gen Yar Pyae, Union ministers, the Mon State chief minister and relevant officials saluted the State Flag and fallen heroes.
General Maung Maung Aye read out the message sent by Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and State Security and Peace Commission Chairman Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing, to the occasion.
The Mon State chief minister remarked and concluded the event.
General Maung Maung Aye and party also attended the State honorary title-giving ceremony to mark the 52nd Mon State Day at the City Hall of Mawlamyine.

General Maung Maung Aye and party presented excellent awards in the administration economy, agriculture, livestock, industry, service and social sectors, and posed for documentary photos together with the awardees.
Afterwards, they proceeded to the opening ceremony of the Ethnic Culture Centre in Minywa Village, Mawlamyine Township, and observed the ethnic traditional houses in the centre after the ceremonial procedures.
They also attended the dinner at Thamainbayan ground in the evening.
The Mon cultural troupes performed at the event. General Maung Maung Aye had dinner together with the participants and gave cash prizes and bouquets to the performers. — MNA/KTZH
