34 more virus cases reported in Magway Region

An additional 34 Covid-19 cases were confirmed in Magway Region, bringing the total number of confirmed virus cases in the region to 1,703, according to the Department of Public Health.


There are still people in the region who are free of the virus and are in good health and have been discharged from the hospital. The confirmed virus patients on December 10 were two each from Aunglan and Minbu, four from Natmauk and Taungdwingyi, five from Seikphyu and Gangaw, nine from Magway and one each from Minhla, Salin, Myothit.


A contact tracing process is being conducted to expose people who had close contact with the coronavirus patients. As of December 10, a total of 1,703 confirmed coronavirus cases have been detected in Magway Region, said Dr Khin Maung Than, assistant director of the region's Department of Public Health.


The Magway Region Department of Public Health is urging the public to be extra vigilant as more and more people are infected with the virus.
