The Ministry of Health and Sports inoculated healthcare workers with covid-19 vaccine at the meeting room of a public hospital in Kawkareik Township, KayinState on January 27.
The vaccination drive against the covid-19 was held under the health protocols issued by the Ministry of Health and Sports. The immunization against the coronavirus is the first of its kind in the township.
A total of 289 medical staff from the Department of Public Health, Sports and Physical Education Department, and Department of Traditional Medicine received the first dose of covid-19 vaccine, said Dr Kyaw Htike Oo, head of the district DPH.
