28 bases for non-formal primary education program to be opened in Sagaing Region

A ceremony to open a non-formal primary education program was held at No-2 Basic Education High School in Monywa, Sagaing Region this morning.


On the occasion, Sagaing Regional Minister for Social Affairs Dr. Zaw Win gave remarks and Deputy Director-General from Regional Education Office clarified the non-formal primary education program being implemented in the region.


Next, secretary of the regional government presented assignment to respective Township Administrators who will supervise non-formal primary education program to be launched in their townships. The regional ministers then presented prizes to 15 students who passed the matriculation examination from non-formal primary education program and provided stationery to those who will join the program. 


In 2019-2020 academic year, a total of 28 bases for non-formal primary education program will be launched in Sagaing Region_ seven in Monywa, four in Sarlingyi Township, seven in Tantse Township, two in Kawlin Township and eight in Kale Township.
