A final game plus awarding ceremony of the 2024 Inter-State and Region Swimming Championship was held at the Wunna Theikdhi swimming pool in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon, joined by State Administration Council members.
The State Administration Council members enjoyed the men’s 200-metre final match. After the game, an awarding ceremony was held. Winners of the women’s 50-metre and men’s 50-metre swimming events grabbed their prizes.
The Yangon Region team won the men’s 200-metre swimming event, while the Mandalay Region team secured second place and the Ayeyawady Region team claimed third, respectively. In turn, the Yangon Region team won the women’s 200-metre event while the Ayeyawady Region team earned the second and the Bago Region team picked the third prize, respectively. The athletes representing the winning teams achieved the medals respectively. State Administration Council members also presented championship trophies to Yangon Region teams, winners of the men’s and women’s swimming events. The 2024 Inter-State and Regions Swimming Championship was successfully held on 12 and 13 June with the aim of promoting swimming sports across the nation. — MNA/KZL
