Yangon seals 3-1 victory over Yadanarbon in MNL Derby

WITH new tactics of head coach U Min Tun Lin, Yangon United yesterday bagged their full points at their home with a 3-1 win over their opponent Yadanarbon FC in a Myanmar National League derby match.

As the match was a derby one, both teams launched furious attacks from the kick-off.

Yangon’s Kaung Htet Soe, Barfo, and Aboubacar found the winning goals while opponent responded a goal in the second half by Yadnarbon star Hlaing Bo Bo.

Yangon United forced to play from the start and found their opening goal at 15 minutes while Mg Mg Win passed the ball to his teammate Kaung Htet Soe who scored the keeper upward to achieve the first goal for Yangon.

After the goal, Yangon United created some goal opportunities but failed to invert goal result, and the first half was ended with 1-0 lead by Yangon.

The second half saw new tactics used by both teams.

Yangon was eager to score more goals from the second-half start and, Yangon’s Barfo netted the second goal via the support of MgMg Lwin and Min Kyaw Khant.

After 2-0, Yadanarbon pulled back a goal with a foul ball kick of Hlaing Bo Bo at 77 minutes.

Though, Yangon made a sure winning goal at 85 minutes with a fabulous header of Aboubacar.

The 3-1 result makes Yangon United celebrate at the final whistle and see smiling faces of the team with bagging full points. In another MNL match, Ayeyawady United drew 1-1 with Southern Myanmar FC while Hantharwady United won 1-0 over ISPE FC.
