Winemaw Township Public Hospital upgraded to 50-Bedded Hospital

A ceremony to open a two-storey building in Winemaw Township Public Hospital to mark the 73rd Union Day was held in front of the building this morning.

Kachin State Chief Minister Dr. Khat Aung, State Minister for Transport, Electricity and Industry U Win Nyunt, State Minister for Municipal U Naw Li, MPs of Pyithu Hluttaw and Amyotha Hluttaw and officials from State Department of Medical Services formally opened the new facility by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.

 

Then, State Chief Minister and his party looked around the building and provided cash aids to those who received the medical treatment in the new facility.

 

At the ceremony, the State Chief Minister gave remarks and an official from the State Department of Medical Services clarified the procedures that will undertake in the new facility. Next, an official from the Ministry of Construction handed over proper documents relating to the new building to the responsible person of the hospital.

The building was constructed with K 7217 million allocated by Pyidaungsu’s fund by the Ministry of Construction. The Township Hospital was established in 1968 and it was a 16-Bedded Hospital and it developed into a 25-Bedded Hospital in 2005. Now, it has been developed into 50-Bedded Hospital, according to State Information and Public Relations Department.
