VP U Henry Van Thio meets with ROK Prime Minister, visits War Memorial of Korea

Vice President U Henry Van Thio visited the War Memorial of Korea in Seoul yesterday during his official tour in the Republic of Korea.

The Vice President, accompanied by Union Minister Thura U Aung Ko, was welcomed by the officials of the memorial.

After signing the visitors’ book, they exchanged commemorative gifts and looked around the memorial.

At 5 pm local time, the Vice President visited the office of Prime Minister Mr Chung Sye-kyun. During the meeting, they discussed promotion of bilateral relations between the two countries, economic and cultural exchange programmes, employments for Myanmar migrant workers in South Korea and more investments of Korean investors in Myanmar.

The meeting was also attended by Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Thura U Aung Ko, Myanmar Ambassador to ROK U Thant Sin and Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs U Soe Han.
