With a view to creating job opportunities for rural people, a ceremony to open a free vocational sewing course, organized by the Department of Rural Development, Department of Social welfare and Department of Agriculture, was held in the town of Paungde, Pyay District, Bago Region this morning.
First of all, an official from the district DRD clarified the purpose of the course and urged the trainees to practically apply the lessons learned in the training to generate more income in their families. Then, course instructor introduced the subjects to be taught to the trainees in the training course.
Next, officials from the township General Administration Department and Department of Social Welfare handed over teaching aids to the trainees.
The one-month training course is being attended by 20 trainees from six villages in the Township.— U Nyein Thu Win Shwe, DRD
