Kale 9 January
A K 70 million fund of village development project (VDP) was handed over to seven villages in Kale Township, Sagaing Region at the rate of K 10 million per village at the meeting hall of the Rural Development Department on 7 January.
The department launched VDP in 2017-2018 fiscal year, and it was implemented in four villages. This year, the project covers 17 villages, of which seven villages were allocated 2018 mini budget. The project is also targeted other ten villages, which is scheduled to be completed in March, said U Aung Kyaw Myo, assistant director of the Township Rural Development Department.
Road, bridge, housing for teachers and rural clinic will be constructed along with the distribution of electricity with the funds of VDP and local provision in these seven villages.
