Typhoon Bavi has caused damage to buildings and other structures in South Korea. No deaths or injuries have been reported so far.

South Korean weather officials say that at 9 a.m. on Thursday, the typhoon was moving north over the Yellow Sea at a speed of about 46 kilometers per hour, some 50 kilometers northwest of the North Korean capital, Pyongyang.

Authorities say they have so far confirmed damage to 101 structures, including buildings, utility poles and streetlights.

Footage of Jeju Island, taken by public broadcaster KBS, shows the outer wall of a condominium being blown away and breaking into pieces on the ground. The windows of another building were shattered.

In South Jeolla Province, where heavy rain triggered landslides earlier this month, 29 people temporarily evacuated their homes as a precaution.

In North Korea, the state-run Korean Central Television continued to warn people of the storm on Wednesday night and Thursday morning. It broadcast footage of trees toppled by strong winds in South Hwanghae province, a farming region in the country's southwest.
