Two-storey philanthropic school building put into service in Swa

A two-storey school building for Yadana Alinyaung Philanthropic School in Swa, Yedashe Township, Bago Region was launched at the school this morning with an opening address by Bago Chief Minister U Win Thein.

 

Presiding Sayadaw of Yadana Alinyaung Philanthropic School Bhaddanta Kovida clarified the proceeding procedures of the school, and an official from Regional Education Office explained the procedures of the education sector. Afterwards, the regional chief minister offered K 1 million for school.

 

The newly school building was formally opened by the presiding Sayadaw of the school, regional chief minister U Win Thein, MP U Kyi Moe Naing of Pyithu Hluttaw, Acting Commander of Yedashe Station Lt-Col Nyi Nyi Lwin and deputy director from regional education office Daw May Thet Nwe toured at the newly school building.

 

The newly school building which is 200-foot long and 30-foot wide was constructed at an estimated cost of K 137 million funded by donors in South Korea.

 

Altogether 440 students ranging from infants to university students were taught at the school by seven monks and 34 teachers.
