Two houses were burnt down by a fire which broke out in Kanyintabin village, Wetlaha village-tract, Ingapu Township at 8.15 am today.
The lighted cheroot of Daw Kyi Myint, 82 of Kanyintabin village ignited the fire which burnt down the houses.
Policemen, firemen and local authorities and people led by Commander of the Township MPF Police Major Soe Min Oo with the help of fire engines managed to put out the fire at 9 am.
The two houses were reduced to ashes in the incident, causing K 2.37 million in loss.—Man Kyaw (IPRD)
