Traffic accident in Indakaw claims one dead, 13 injured

One man was killed and thirteen others injured in a traffic accident in Indakaw Township, Bago Region on Saturday, reported by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

 

A mini-truck driven by a man named U Kan Aye, 60 years of age with 13 people aboard rear ended a stationary truck in front of a restaurant between mileposts 38/2 and 38/3 on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway after the driver lost control of the car. The mini-truck driver died on the spot and 13 people were hurt in the incident.

 

The injured people were sent to a public hospital in Bago and action is being taken against the driver over reckless driving by the local police station, the MOHA added.—MOHA
