Tachilek, 17 February
A Thai citizen living illegally in Tachilek, Eastern Shan State was reportedly caught along with a gun and bullets during a house raid.
Based on an anonymous tip, a local police squad raided an apartment of a three-storey building on Ohnchan Lane, Hsansai Ward (a) Ward in Tachilek at about 6:20 p.m. on 16 February. The police team members found a Thai man in the apartment and seized one pistol and one magazine, and 16 bullets.
The police launched an investigation into the seizure of a Thai man along with weapons to check whether he is linked with a murder case or not.—Yar Say (IPRD)
