Held with a video conference, the meeting was attended by Deputy Minister U Soe Aung, the Director-General of the Disaster Management Department and directors from Nay Pyi Taw Council and the other states and regions.
In his address, the Union Minister first thanked the staff for disseminating useful information and providing assistance in cooperation with the Ministry of Union Government Office and the Ministry of Health and Sports.

He said staff members spreading COVID-19 awareness in IDP camps need to wash their hands regularly and acquire sufficient face masks and hand sanitizers and requested the state/regional administrators to address that fact.
Next, the Deputy Minister explained the directives issued by the national central committee to be followed by Nay Pyi Taw Council and the states/regions and to continue cooperation with local civil society organizations from previous natural disaster mitigation processes.
The meeting also discussed the requirements in implementing processes related to IDPs and people returning from abroad and the need for decisive action and support, to which the Union Minister, Deputy Minister, Director-General and concerned officials replied.
In his closing speech, the Union Minister said the ministry will swiftly fulfill requirements in the field and called for increased cooperation between departments for providing counseling services to returnees in facility quarantine.—MNA (Translated by Zaw Htet Oo)
