Approximately 1,927 local people from 392 households, seven monasteries, one basic education high school and a Mon school in Auksaik Village, Ye Township in Mon State have been affected by strong winds.
The gusty winds hit the area on 8 January, causing 392 homes damage in Auksaik Village. The estimated loss of property due to the gust is more than Ks. 35 million. Rescue operations are being carried out by local authorities.
A donation counter was set up in front of Myathida Market to help the storm victims rehabilitate their new life.
