A ceremony to dispense cash assistance to those affected by strong winds was held at the meeting hall of the Township General Administration Department in Mongnai Township, Namhsan District of Southern Shan State this morning.
At the event, U Win Myint, Chairman of the Township Disaster Management Committee discussed matters relating to cash assistance. This was followed by the presentation of cash assistance to victims of strong winds by officials from Loilem District Department of Disaster Management.
Under this cash assistance program, storm victims from 49 households in the Township received a total of K 2.6 million. Strong winds hit the villages in Mongnai Township on May 10 and flipped over the roofs of 49 households.—Township IPRD
