Stimulant tablets seized in Bhuthidaung, Rakhine State

Bhuthidaung 6 March

Acting on a tip-off, a combined team led by Police Capt Kyaw Soe together with witnesses on 5 March morning searched a man, identified as Karmal Hussan from Seintnyinpya Village who is strolling near Myoma Market, Myothit (South) Ward, Bhuthidaung Township, Rakhine State and seized 380 stimulant tablets weighing 38 grams worth K 760000 from him.

Further information led to the search of Saw Lin, of Thapyaetaw Village, Seintnyeinpya village-track and seized 1520 stimulant tablets weighing 1520 grams worth over K 30 million and K 100000 from his house.

The authorities filed charges against the two under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.—Township IPRD
