Stimulant tablets, paraphernalia seized in Tachilek

Thai people including one man and two women with stimulant tablets and paraphernalia were detained at Maekhaung and Wanekyauk wards,Tachilek, Shan State yesterday night.

 

Acting on a tip-off, a combined team led by Police Lt-Col Paw Tun, Police Major of Tacheleik Township Police Force Hla Oo, Police Captain Myo Khaing from the Myoma Police Station and Inspector Aung Thu Moe from Anti-Drugs Squad-30 searched Thai woman identified as Lacture Phae Laung Ntaung and seized 105 stimulant tablets in her bag. Further search led to the seizure of 6,080 stimulant tablets, 776 Ecstasy tablets and other drug-related items from her home of Tawkyut village  According to investigation, Mr. Tidatut Lonprakansit and Mrs. 

 

Wan Nar Lili Lout Phu were arrested with five stimulant tablets, five grams of ICE and three hand phones at a hotel of Wanekyauk ward, Tachilek at 11 pm the same day.

 

Action was taken against Thai citizens by the local police station under the Anti Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. –Wai Yna Lin (IPRD)
