State Counsellor receives MEDEF Int’l business delegation from France

Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received the MEDEF International business delegation from France led by Mr Christian Lechervy, Ambassador of France to Myanmar at 10:00 am on 5 February 2020 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw.


During the meeting, they exchanged views on the investment climate and economic reforms in Myanmar. They also discussed matters relating to the investment opportunities for French companies in Myanmar, as well as, potential cooperation between the two countries in the areas of economic, trade, agriculture, energy and infrastructure.


The meeting was also attended by Union Minister for Planning Finance and Industry U Soe Win, Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations U Thaung Tun, Union Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin, and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations.


The MEDEF International is a non- profit organization representing French business confederation. The visiting French business delegation included 28 members representing various prominent French international companies interested in doing business in Myanmar. —MNA
